Car

No Service Needed

I can’t believe how well my car managed to hold up after a drive across the entire country. It was one of the most brutal road trips I’ve ever been on; we faced hail the size of golf balls, torrential rain that threatened to sweep us away in flash floods and rough mountain tracks. I was getting ready to book an appointment with a highly-rated car service based in Bentleigh East for the minute we got home, but our car managed to get through it all without even a scratch! Not bad for a little Mars 3!

It probably would be a good idea to take the car to a mechanic close to Bentleigh, since I’ve heard the auto experts there are excellent. Even if the car looks, sounds and drives like absolutely nothing is wrong, the drive from Far North Queensland down to Victoria is massive. There’s every chance that my car has some sort of issue under the hood that I haven’t been able to detect. Better safe than sorry, as my dad always says. I’ve heard plenty of stories about people going on long road trips, thinking that their car is completely fine at the end of it, only for the vehicle to break down on the way to work the next day.

Speaking of work, I am so not ready to get back into it. That holiday did not last long enough at all! Maybe it’s because I spent a total of six days driving, but I really feel like I need a holiday from my holiday – excuse the cliche expression. Oh well, I guess I can’t complain too much. It definitely could have been worse. After all, I could have had issues with my brakes on the long drive and spent an entire day waiting around for brake replacement.

It was nice to see the family over the work break, but I really wish it could have lasted longer. In the blink of an eye, my holiday was done, and I was on my way back to Victoria. But that’s just life, I guess.
