Videos for businesses
People may try to tell you that the best boss is when you’re your own boss. While this might be true to an extent, it does also have many downsides. Being your own boss means that you can never switch off. You’re always thinking of ways you can improve your business, attract more customers, and increase sales. My brain honestly never switches off! Even if I’m anywhere near a competitor, or I have seen their branding pop up online, it triggers a part in my brain to need to find a way to outdo them.
In the last few months, my mind has been preoccupied with the idea of upping the amount, and the quality, of videos I have on my website. I am noticing many of my competitors having really beautiful and engaging videos sprawled across their social content and website. It’s time I start doing the same. I have decided to hire a video production team in Melbourne to help me out with this. I’m not a creative person so I have no idea of where to begin with any of this. There’s so many different types of video that exist. From animation, to live action, to user-generated content, and more. I have no idea what will work best for my business, but I want to ensure they will drive sales.
I booked a conversation with the team last Monday so I could explain my vision. I didn’t want to go into this consultation telling them what I want. I went in telling them what they needed, and sat silently while I listened to their thoughts. They made a marketing video production recommendation because they thought that’s what would give me the most return on my money. I was glad to hear that they were thinking with my budget and goals in mind. It’s all well and good to make a video, but if that video doesn’t drive sales what’s the point?
We’ll be going into production next week and I’m so excited to see the result. I’ve decided to take a backseat in it all and let the professionals do their magic.
