Exciting Home Time
You know the old saying, Rome wasn’t built in a day? I’ve never known this to be more true than now. As some of you may know, I won some money two years ago. I won’t get into specifics but let’s just say that it’s enough money to allow me to quit my job and never work a day again while still giving me the freedom to live a life of luxury. My first big purchase with this money was to build a new home along the Mornington Peninsula so I could wake up each day with a beautiful sea view, step from my bed to my balcony and be cuddled by the cool salty sea breeze. After months and months of me experiencing crippling anxiety around this home, it’s done! I am finally a proud homeowner. I do struggle to accept the terms by which I have this house, but I just tell myself it was written for me to win that money.
I’ve been working with the best custom home designers near the Mornington Peninsula. They’ve got a lot of experience under their tool belts. Guess what? I could not be happier. They have absolutely nailed every single step of the building process. They were patient and great communicators who had a genuine interest in creating the home that I wanted to live in. It truly is beautiful. The tricky part now is showing this new home to my friends and family. No doubt they’ll want to know how I was able to afford all this.
I do get the feeling like one of my friends might be a bit suspicious of me at the moment. Every time we go for a coffee or brunch she keeps dropping comments about luxury residential developers. I’m yet to let anything slip, but if she does know I would prefer for her to just tell me directly. I’ve never been into playing mind games with people. I’m a firm believer in the ‘if you have something to say then say it’ principle. I guess I’m also being a hypocrite by withholding this information, though.
